Dhalpur, 13 December 2011 - The Kishak Mukti Sangram Samiti leader Akhil Gogoi has held a meeting with almost 5,000 people at 5 p.m. against the Namoni Sowansiri Big Dam issue at Dhalpur in Lakimpur district.
"I thank the people of entire Dhalpur for taking the road forbiding the vehicle carrying the project's equipment" said Gogoi to the people. He also condemned the government for harrasing the people for participating in the revolution againt Big dam. "The people of Assam will not be benifited by the electric project. It will destroy the whole ecosystem of the neigbouring district. I encourage all the people of Assam to instantly protest and help undo this conspicacy of Tarun Gogoi govt." Gogoi added.
He made it clear to the entire goverment to stop the Namoni Sowansiri Project before causing any harm to the people of Assam and for its betterment otherwise the situation will be worse to everybody.
