The legend of Bishnu Prasad Rabha

The soil of Assam is blessed by eminent personalities with their immense talent Among the luminaries, the prominent name is of course Kola Guru Bishnu Prasad Rabha(1909-1969). He is a multifaceted artist.--A poet, litterateur, dramatist, musician, dancer and an actor. The title of Kola guru was bestowed to him by Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan.

Guwahati city facing interplay of bomb blasts and floods

Guwahati city is called as the gateway of entire North east. People from all over the region reside or come here for occupational, educational and commercial or legal reasons It is also important for many medical necessities.

But, in spite of all these factors government has failed to give basic security to the residents as well as visitors. The recent bomb blasts in Guwahati on October 30, infamous as Black Thursday is one such example.More than 75 people died and many were injured.
